And the deed has been done

And that isn't the deed that you're thinking, dirty head.

Remember I told you my officemates and I were going to dance for our operating unit anniversary? Great thing that it all through now! To summarize everything in a box, I like going up the stage and acting and dancing and all of that. :) Thing here is, I don't like practicing and all, I'm lazy. Oh yes, haughty I am and haughty I shall ever be. I feel theater arts - going up the stage - runs through my veins. And to my surprise (well, now I've finally seen it for myself) I saw (over the video that was taken by one of my colleague's bf) I saw I pretty much dance real good. He he. Yes, I know --- time to brag, time to brag...

The video? Lemme try uploading that tomorrow then.

Being the OC me, the boyfriend was able to notice that I'm pointing the locations/blocking of my dance-mates. Ha ha ha. Embarassing. Oh well, I just want everything to be perfect! What can I do?! :LOL

~~~~Lights were out and the music started to roll. It should have been the other way around. Light first, then play the music. I yelled at the technical person a few times to turn on the light. My dancemates, though, continued dancing and so I obliged doing so too, to my dismay. Finally, after about 15 seconds without light and people winking their eyes just trying to watch us, lights of different colours slowly started to light the stage and people yelled and screamed and cheered for us (they're just like that in the office - har har). For the past 12 presentations, it's all but cheap theater-like plays, sometimes dragging, some others perky enough to watch. We were the only ones dancing and something like making a party on the stage. So maybe that's the reason why people seemed to like it. And maybe due to people yelling and screaming their lungs out, some, if not most, of my dancemates forgot where to place themselves on the stage (where their "blockings" are as other people may put it). The whole time, I've been pointing at some of my dancemates where to go. Ha ha ha. The OC me. The OC me. Oh well, **it happens. Too bad that the 1 week we've been practicing, we'd only be able to show it once. Although, all in all, when I saw the video, geez, t'was good. Good enough for a presentation.
Although, my realization really wasn't that I was OC or that our presentation was cute.
I've realized, that geez. Now I know I've got some booty to shake. (har har)
Now, the juiciest part here is... When I upload the video, I wonder if you would know who I am there? ;p
P.S. Thanks for coming, "stage Dad" (the boyfriend). Love you. I don't have to tell you that, do I? :P
Sayaw Hataw Sayaw
Kung makikita nyo yung "Edit Posts" ko dito sa blogspot ko, 10 dito ang naumpisahan kong isulat ngunit hindi pa natapos. Sa ngayon, nagkaron ako ng pribilehiyong mag-post sa blog kong muli (haaay, pagkatapos ng mabigat na linggong ito). Ngunit san ba patungo ang mga salitang ito?
Sa totoo lang, di maipaliwanag na lungkot ang nadarama ko dahil sa pagtaas ng mga bilihin. Ewan ko, parang gusto ko lang sabihin...
Anyway, eto nga pala ang nangyari sakin nitong nakaraang linggo:
++++++++++
Nagsimula akong mag-benta ng Triumph sa mga ka-opisina ko kasi pagtingin nila sa presyo, 50% off. Yung kadalasang Php700, Php350 na lang sakin. Eh shempre dahil may quarterly bonus na din kami sa darating na sweldo, bibili naman yung mga ka-opisina ko. Ika nga nila, sayang din yun, Triumph din yun. Saka buti na din at ngayon silang July bumili, tataas na ang presyo sa August. (naks, nag-plug. ahahaha)
+++++++++++
Nung isang linggo, hindi ko alam kung anong klaseng espiritu ang sumanib sakin at napa-oo akong sumali sa dancing program ng centre namin. At alam nyo kung anong, tugtog? High School Musical. Naknampating. Pero alam nyo kung ano ang nakakatuwa? May malambot na bahagi pala ng katawan ko at marunong pala akong sumayaw at magmemorya ng dance steps. Kunsabagay, nakakalibang din naman magsayaw. Nakakamiss nga lang umuwi ng bahay ng maaga at makalaro si Yoshua.
++++++++++++
Speaking of makauwi ng maaga, nung Sabado hindi ako nakauwi ng maaga. Dahil alam nyo ba? Yung babaeng dati kong kasamang mag wall climbing dun sa SouthWall, ay nakasama kong maggala sa loob ng Glorietta at Greenbelt. Sa totoo lang, yung meeting namin nung Sabado ay naiiba sa iba naming meeting nung nakaraan. Dati kasi, mga 45mins-1hour sawa na kaming magkwentuhan, wala kaming mapagkwentuhan. Usually, para lang maibsan yung boredom namin at mejo magkasama pa kami ng mas matagal ng konti, Powerbooks na lang kami tapos basa basa lang ng libro. Kaya nga nung Sabado, kala ko mabo-bored ako or naisip ko baka wala na naman kaming mapag-kwentuhan, kaya dinala ko yung libro kong pagkabigat-bigat. Kaya lang, ika ko nga, nung Sabado iba sa dating mga araw na napagsamahan namin. Kasi, grabe, from 5:00-9:00pm --- Non-Stop --- ang usapan namin. Totoo! Ewan ko ha, breakthrough sa friendship namin yun dahil hindi naman kami nakapagkwentuhan ng ganun ka-spontaneous sa tanan ng frienship namin. We ended the night by dining at Spaghetti Factory in Glorietta. Hayyy, sarap talaga ng food dun :D (meron pang in between yan, wala na nga lang akong ulet time magsulat...hehe).
Anyhow, within the week baka madagdagan ko pa to. Sa ngayon kelangan ko munang lumisan at sasayaw pa kami (aring-gunding-gunding-gunding~~~)
Creamy Sunday
Oh yes, oh yes!!!
Haven't I told you guys that I make good spaghetti? (Allow me to rave about it because my family them selves - including me - can't get enough of it). You know, the kind of spaghetti that half a kilo of it won't be enough for me, Brix, Yosh, and KenKen the yaya? (oh, well, gano lang ba karami ang kalahating kilo? marami-rami na din yun noh)
Anyhow, my spaghetti tastes sooo deliciously that there could be a possibility that you might forget your name for a sec *wink*. It's cheesy, tomatoey, mushroomey, and all that tastes like heaven... Ayyy, my Baby might have his own fan club just for my spag (hehe - kiddin'). Oh, anyway, the reason anyway why I mentioned to you about my spag was because I think I am looking for a day to officially launch my "Spaghetti Day"! O, diba masaya yun? May Spag day kami sa bahay? Dun kasi sa bahay ng nanay ko (kung san ako lumaki). Walang ganun. Walang day day day... Eh para lang maiba. Yung iba, may family day, may gimmick day, may barkada day, may tomahan day (hala bakit tayo napunta sa ganyang mga araw) at kung anu-ano pang "day". So, ako, dahil mahilig naman akong magluto at magaling naman ako mag ispagheti, eh na-iisip na ako ng official Spaghetti Day namin? Yun nga lang sa palagay ko eh yung Spaghetti Day ay hindi pwedeng linggo-linggo kasi mashadong magastos.
So, aside from me making some spag last Sunday (6 July) I also made some Graham cake with peaches. I think it's alright, although I guess I could have made something better. Oh well, it has been a long time since I made that Graham thing, will do better next time.
Yes, creamy Sunday it was. I am a creamy person anyhow.
☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
Weekending 6 July 2008 Updates
Waaah! So much for a weekfulofofficework!
I sooo feel bad that I wasn't able to blog these past few days. Oh, dear readers and commenters, I soooo mishusomuchos!!!
Arrrgh. Pending tags and blogroll. Yes. I've got to do them all. Don't worry guys, I'll tag all of ya :*
My hands have been itching to scribble about a lot of things that's been happening around me, like the MV Princess of the Stars; the interview that Pacquiao had with Unang Hirit (this is an early morning TV show in the Phils); the breakthrough Yoshua had with him trying to say his name; the date I had with Brix just this weekend and the weekend before that; my rants about the movie Wanted; my long awaited yearly travel that's going to be at Dumaguete, and; oh well.. my thoughts of migrating to Oz. BUt lo and behold. Now, all of those "fresh" ideas disappeared and got lost somewhere in translation coz I guess I wasn't able to blog 'em all at the time that my brain was freshly squeezed with ideas.
Anyhow, lemme do a little backtracking.
Brix and I had a special time at Omakase (one of my favorite Japanese spots in Alabang) last June 29 (or 28, kindly remind me, Baby - please). And this time around, I ordered my new favorite. A Zarusoba (soba means buckwheat and zaru means basket - see justhungry.com). And yes, technically, the Zarusoba that I was served with was in this bamboo sheet, looks like something chefs use to make makis. (ayyy, sayang, I wasn't able to take a pic). So, we had a nice dinner that night while talking about lot's of stories (and also me making chismis to Brix about what's happening inside the office hehe).
Then yesterday, we went to Festival and we just walked around the mall (which is something I really not fond of doing, walking and window shopping - I'd prefer shopping - period. harhar). Pero shempre, Brix was with me, so of course, it's something I considered doing. We ate at BulBop (as usual) and I bought Yosh his first set of crayons. I would have to brace myself later when I get home and see if my son would have painted the walls, the appliances, and the floor with his colorful crayons. Hehe.
++++++++++
I didn't like the movie Wanted. Period.
If you'd see my previous posts, for me, it's just another "animated" movie. You know. The sort of "paangasan" movie and all. Hayyy, just talking abou the movie makes me bored already (hehe).
++++++++++
Again, something about Yosh. Okay, so since he was born, he's been having quite a hard time saying his name... He can't say Yosh, Yoshua, Yo-yo or anything! :D You know what I did? Asked him to say... "ME". Aba! Nasabi nya. So everytime, he's pertaining to himself, he says, "ME!!!". Hehehe.
+++++++++++
My officemate, Irene is usually generous enough to share me her favorite foods, which are also my favorite. Yung liver paté, tapos yung strawberry cheesecake from Tagaytay :D Thanks, Irene!!! Yo da best!
One day I will tell you my story about me and her :)
++++++++++++
Lastly, (eto na muna ng iba-blog ko for now). Brix and I have finally decided where we would go for a vacay this August. Yeah, yeah, we were sorta thinking of hitting the beach. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we get to have the sunniest, driest time of August this year when we get to Dumaguete. Ahehe... Yep. It's in Dumaguete. It's a nicer place than Boracay.
And speaking of Boracay, I promised myself never to go there as I would just be wasting my money. Too crowded, too many people, too (well some people say) --- just too much ---. Oh well other people may feel different about it. Let me know.
Inflation of Economy, Deflation of Lifestyle (pagbigyan nyo na ako, di ko talaga alam isulat sa tagalog)
Sabihin nyong hindi?
Sa nakaraang 2 buwan, unti-unti kong nararamdaman na humihina ang lakas ng pera ko upang bumili ng mga pangunahing bilihin. (note: pangunahing bilihin pa lang ito ha - i.e. bigas, kuryente, pamasahe, at pagkain)
Kung tutuusin, hindi siguro lahat ng tao (lalo na siguro ang mga tao na single sa status) ay nararamdaman ang gantong uri ng pagkakulang. Kahapon, nung ako ay naghihilamos sa loob ng ladies' room. Eto ang naisip ko:
Kung umangat ng at least 10% ang bawat bilihin, pamasahe, pagkain, at kung anu-ano pa, ibig sabihin nun ay ganto...
Yung 100% na purchasing power ng isang tao ngayon ay less than 90% na lang. Ibig sabihin yung dating perang maaari pang gamitin para sa ibang bagay, idinagdag na lang para sa pambayad ng mga bilihin na ngayon ay nagmahal na.
Halimbawa, si Pedro ay kumikita ng Php10,000 kada buwan, at nakakabili sha ng 10 bagay gamit ang pera nya. Ngayon Php10,000 kada buwan ang sweldo nya pero 8 bagay na lang ang nabibili nya dahil yung natitirang pambili ng 2 bagay ay ginamit para pandagdag ng pambili nya nung 8 bagay (mas lalo bang gumulo? basahin mo kasi ulet... Analyze! :P)
++++++++++
Kaninang papunta akong opisina, kung hindi ako magta-taksi ay male-late ako. Kaya wala akong ibang nagawa kundi sumakay kay Manong Taxidriver. Shempre, sabi ko (dahil nagtitipid) eh metrohan na lang nya yung taksi. Ayaw ko din naman kasi ng kinokontrata (alam nyo yung ganung sitwasyong bago kayo pasakayin ng drayber eh kelangan ayunan mo muna yung kondisyon nya, kainis di ba?). Eh, pumayag naman si Manong, katapos, nung nasa loob na ako ng taksi hindi naman ako nakatiis na hindi sha daldalin kahit papano (ginawa ko na din to kasi sasabihin ko din sa kanya pumalaon na dalhin nya ko mula Edsa papuntang RCBC in 5 mins - yesss, batmobile daw yung nasakyan ko). Eto namang si Manong, siguro dahil mejo matagal-tagal na din shang nababato kahihintay ng pasahero, eh kinausap na din ako (note: hindi lang pala nya ako kinausap, dinaldal pala nya ako).
Sabi nya ay ganto:
- Na yung paunang metro nila na Php30.00 (at ang sumunod na patak ay Php2.50) ay 2003 pa daw napatupad. Eh simula din nung 2003, pataas ng pataas na ang presyo ng bilihin. Ibig sabihin yung kita nila hindi tumataas pero yung bilihin, tumataas ng tumataas.
- Nagpa-convert daw sila ng LPG nung 2005. Nung 2005, (sa ngayon habang sinusulat ko to, parang di ko na yata maalala yung mga tamang numbers, shiyet, hindi talaga ako magaling sa mga numero) - so nung 2005 nga (yata), yung LPG per litro daw ay nasa Php19.00 pa lang. Ngayon daw ay nasa Php32.00/litro. Sa loob ng 2 taon, dumoble yung presyo! Huwaw!!! (tsk tsk tsk)
At eto ang isa sa mga di ko malilimutang sinabi nya:
- Parang gusto daw muna nyang magpahinga bilang isang taxi driver. Sabi nya maghahanap na lang muna sha ng ibang mapagtatrabahuhan (dito ako natawa kasi biglang pumasok sa isip ko: "Manong, marunong ka bang mag-English? Bakit di mo subukan sa call center? SAbi nila malaki daw ang sahod dun.". Shempre naisip ko naman na ano ba ko? Anong alam ni Manong sa pag-i-English? Kung kami nga sa bahay di nag-i-english eh.)
So yun lang naman. Ngayon talaga masasabi ko na hindi lang talaga ako lang ang may "challenge" mag-budget ng pera sa panahon ngayon. Maalala ko pa na yung sweldo ko ngayon nakakabuhay na lang ng 3 tao, eh sweldo ng nanay ko (siguro mga 15 taon na ang nakakalipas) pero 5 kaming malakas kumain ang saganang kumakain. Marami pa akong analisis kung panong ang sweldo ko na noon ay kaya akong buhayin ng marangya, ngayon para na yata akong isang-kahig, isang-tuka - pero sakin at sa malikot ko na lang na isip siguro ang mga yaon.
Si Pacquaio at ang kanyang mga alipores lang yata ang hindi nakakaramdam ng kakapusan ngayon eh.
Ikaw? Pano ka nakaka-relate sa sinasabi ko?
Hayyy... "Manny, marry me." LOL
